Welcome! We are a Dirt Go-Karting Club that races for a Points championship every
weekend from June-thru-October since the early 1990s, counting points
since 1996, and online since 2005!
We race gas-only stock 5-horsepower class
at Galletta's Greenhouse's not-for-profit/race-at-your-own-risk Go-Kart Speedway
on Summer Sundays and Fall Saturdays, and a gas-only 8hp-and-less Yard
Kart series summer Thursdays or Fridays at Oswego Speedway's
Clay Dirt Oval. Always looking for new, experienced teen drivers or serious
adult racers to join us!
Galletta's Go-Kart Speedway
2006 Event #13 results: Sunday, September 3rd, 2006 (50-lap Feature)
We had a rainy weekend here at Galletta's due to
Hurricane Ernesto's aftermath. Originally, with Oswego Speedway's
Classic weekend a staple of our Labor Day weekend (and the Classic 200
scheduled on Sunday), we were planning on racing Monday, September 4th.
However, due to the Classic raining out Sunday and being moved to
Monday, we realized that our only chance to get it in this weekend was
to hold it Sunday night, after the showers broke enough for us to race.
It was a little late, and a little slick, and but nowhere near as late
or as slick as we have raced in the past, so the green flag dropped!
But keep in mind, everybody... we will now race on every Saturday from
here on out in the Fall. The reasons are multiple: (1) We attend
Supermodified racing every Saturday during the Summer, (2) We watch NFL
football every Sunday during the Fall, (3) Kids start going back to
school, (4) If Saturday rains, we still have Sunday as a fail-safe
rain-date. It has been a tradition to change the date from every Sunday
before Labor Day to every Saturday after Labor Day for years here at
Galletta's Speedway, as well as holding our Karting Klassic race in
mid-to-late September. So... everybody take note and get ready! Now...

(LEFT) Early leader Jason Mills (#38) followed
closely by Robbie Jimenez (#5) and Chris ChrusherComix (#8).
(RIGHT) However Jason's chain broke (as his kart's builder Ed Maynes
looks on in grief), handing the lead to Robbie. Ed Maynes continued to
field fast karts that couldn't complete the race, as all three of his
karts (his own, his son Kenny's, and his friend Jason's) all got DNFs.
Kenny hopped into a few backups and did something that we have never
seen; He spun out, did a 360 and kept going FOUR times, not
bringing out a caution for any one of them!

(LEFT) Rapid Robbie set a fast pace for the rest of the event. Here he
is shown blistering the track (see the sparks?) and challenged by Chris
"ChrusherComix" (#8) but Chris couldn't catch his old #5 kart
(that he won the 2000 & 2001 Classics in), and motor problems soon
developed in his seemingly cursed #8 which led to Chris dropping out and
to hopping into a backup, the #2 (which Chris also drove to a Classic
win in 1999). Chris said, "The deuce don't drive like it used to.
Cameron Rowe, Crashin' Tom Culeton and Flippin' Freddy Collins (the
three drivers who have driven it the most since 1999) demolished that
sucker wrecking it so much!, Ha-ha!" Fast Freddy missed his first
show of 2006 because his phone number was disconnected. (RIGHT) Here is
Robbie pumping his fist for his first career victory, one long overdue
as he was in his second year with countless top 5 finishes. We also
believe that he may be the youngest driver to win a feature at
Galletta's.

(LEFT) What is it with all the ties this year? After Rob won, Matt (who
started the race in the #7, then hopped out running in third place to
hop into his #3 just because he wanted to "have more fun.") and
Dick Dann tied for 2nd. Although everybody paying attention thought that
Matt nipped him, we scored it a tie ("besides... Matt's lead in the
points is already too big to overcome anyway" adds Chris). (RIGHT)
Rob taking his victory lap. In an odd coincidence, Robbie won without
his mother, step-father, or grandfather in attendance, as Kris was
serving the 1st week of her indefinite suspension (for fighting; explained
last week).
Several people have noticed that his family seems to give him bad luck,
as the last time they were late, he led many laps until he crashed
shortly after they arrived and with just a handful of laps to go. But at
least his expecting girlfriend Amanda, got to witness his triumph!

POINTS SCORING SYSTEM IS IN RULES
SECTION! Each heat and feature is started in a handicap order,
reversed from points-per-event (low-to-high). Inexperienced drivers
with less than 10 races and wreck-prone drivers start in the back
regardless of points. Points are scored based on finishing positions
in heats and features (with bonus points for each feature lap in the top
3 spots).
(A"*" in win category means a shared tie, a "*" in name category means
track championships.)
Oswego Speedway Dirt Track Go-Kart Exhibition:
At the Oswego
Speedway's
dirt track, there were no races due to Classic Weekend (which wound
up being a truly great one as I had predicted), which we
have been attending for decades. However,
as I
described before, we were against going back there because the track officials
were (1) forcing us to run in an open class with bigger motors, (2) not penalizing wreckers,
(3) having a nonsensical starting order, and (4) not allowing us to go in for payouts
(we wouldn't because of reasons #1, 2 and 3; though we wanted to). We
spoke to "Lawnmower-Man" Wayne Degroff, who told us that he was
going to be
in command down there, and he said that if we have enough karts to run
our own class then we can race on our own as we wish, so we may very
well be back (as long as they don't run their races at the same time
that we do, which may be a problem if they run theirs on Saturdays as
rumored. We actually prefer Fridays there - or early Saturday
afternoons... maybe... only if everybody there would also come back here
too, a problem as a few [like Brian Bortel for example] have not raced
both in a long time since Oswego started their track). Stay tuned and
we'll see if we can straighten everything out.
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
(1) This is a reminder that we always race Saturdays
in the Fall (when Oswego Supers stop Saturdays and NFL football starts
on Sundays). (2) Also, several drivers have been pulling IOUs of late,
and the broken parts have exceeding the rental money, so unless people
start paying up, then Matt will have to take money out of the Points
Fund like he did last year. So people who owe... pay up... or the top-10
drivers will all get screwed out of year-end prizes. (3) We will be
having payouts for the Classic Championship Race (held in mid-September
every year)... and for the top drivers at the end of our racing season,
so see Matt or Chris about how much money we should put into a pot and
race-to-win! It should be fun, but everybody has to agree and go in or
we can't do it, and also people who stole the 50/50 money should give it
back too! (Note that only stock-part 5hp flatheads can compete for
winnings. Your kart must be approved by Matt). See
Matt and/or Chris and discuss the details!

Blog
(This section has
nothing to do with Galletta's Greenhouse, just the few poor sports
who have raced with us, said bad things about us, and don't race
with us anymore):
Last
week, we sort of cleared up an issue
where people were accusing others of cheating and stealing go-karts
(though we never did get an apology for being called cheaters and
distributing out-of-context segments of our website to everybody and
badmouthing us in general). It was all
semi-clarified and everything was quasi-worked out. But now a new bag of worms has
been opened, as former volunteer flag-person/donation collector, Kris Pitsley learned of her indefinite suspension from
race day events (because of repeated fighting & losing rental donations) and seemed angry with the decision.
Let us get to that email right now. But first, let us get to the emails,
which we shall respond to now:

WEEK FROM THIS SATURDAY,YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK IT OUT,IF
YOU DO PLEASE LET US NO.WE WOULD LIKE TO RENT A FAST

CHRIS: Hi Sherry. We have used this format for years.:
JUNE, JULY & AUGUST: We race on Sunday afternoon/evenings.
LABOR DAY WEEKEND: We usually either take it off or run on Monday. This
year we plan on Monday, unless the Oswego Speedway's
Classic rains out and runs Monday instead.
SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER: We usually race on Saturday afternoons/evenings, with
Sunday rain-dates. Weather permitting. The 11th Annual
Galletta's Kart Klassic is always in mid-to-late
September, weather and driver-count permitting.
As for at Oswego Speedway, we are leaning against racing
there because of problems that have to be resolved.
I explained the on last week's page. They must allow
us to race in our own 5hp stock class, allow us to go in
for payouts, and stop forcing us to

KRIS PITSLEY: i am really sick of
everything that you write about me on the computer.
CHRIS STEVENS.: Like what?
You broke the rules by
fighting. Did you not fight? We have it on tape and have
seen it in person. I am sorry but we must enforce the
rules.
You fought, and this means that you are
indefinitely
suspended. We looked the other way several times under the
condition that it would stop. You were warned on many occasions.
You fought again, and with more than one person last Sunday. In
addition, you also owe money in rental and 50/50 funds that you
have not yet repaid. You were
responsible for them, Kris. We do not accuse you of stealing
it, but you must honor your obligation to repay it because you
lost it. You also said that you are never coming back anyway
after fighting with people last weekend.
KRIS PITSLEY: but you may want to
know that you have lost kenny and robbie.
CHRIS STEVENS: Robbie has
told me on more than one occasion that you do not speak for him,
and he will race without you if you "pull any more of the
bullshit." He also said that his grandfather will buy Ken's
engine and wheels, and he'll still race the #5 (which is my
frame that I won 2 championships and Classics in, and I
graciously allow Rob to race it because he's a friend, and
improving driver, and we love racing him - otherwise I'd drive
it!) if you and Ken don't want to come and threaten to take all
of your parts off of the #5's frame. Neither Ken nor Rob have
ever done anything to warrant suspension, Kris... just you. This
isn't about them, so don't manipulate them into doing your
bidding. This about the rules that you broke on our property.
Please respect them.
KRIS PITSLEY: ...at least my
family knows that all i did was stick up for you guys
CHRIS STEVENS: First off, you also
accused me of "pulling bullshit"
to my face. I take offense to that. First off, do you know what
the word
bullshit means?
Click here if you don't. It means, "nonsense, lies, or
exaggeration." Kris, that is bullshit. Because I am a
God-fearing Christian and I do not lie and I do not try to screw
anybody. If you can please point out where I have lied or broke
the rules (that I created so I know them better than anybody),
then by all means do. I have been more than
lenient with you and the
rules,
and in addition to the way you accuse me of bullshit and every
single week accuse other drivers of wrecking people or cheating
(when the tape CLEARLY proves that you lied on almost every
single occasion), I am also deeply offended how you take
advantage of my brother's hospitality. He has always been so
nice to you and you do terrible things to him, like not paying
him back the 50/50 and rental money. Do you know what
responsibility and
accountability are, Kris? Click on each word and read if you
do not. It grieves me, in fact, to suspend anybody. But still,
it is an
indefinite one. This means, it isn't permanent. But if you
want to fight and complain and accuse me of things, then maybe
that will change. Also, at least ten or fifteen different people
said that they would race if you weren't there. We've defended
you in most cases, but you make it harder all the time, Kris.
So, even if you fought someone defending us, you still broke the
rules. You cannot fight. Period. Plus, I have heard the contrary
about you always sticking up for us because we never do anything
to warrant people yelling or needing defense for, and several
people have told me how you constantly say bad things about us,
you tell people not to ever come back (when we never banned them
- nor even knew that YOU did and you had no right to).
KRIS P.: and all i got in return
is get wrote up about on the computer and kicked out.
CHRIS S.: Kris, you know our
rules.
What are rules?
Click
here if you don't know. And no, I do
not change them every week like I personally heard you telling
visitors. Since day one, there was a "No fighting on our
property" rule. And, you have been the one and only go-kart
guest to ever break that rule. And you have broke it many times.
We all wanted to look the other way, and did so several times.
We gave you a warning that if you did it one more time, you'd be
suspended. And you fought, not with one, but two or three
people! Including your own father! And Kris, I don't
lie.
KRIS P.: kenny is very sick of
all the bull that people talk about his wife.
CHRIS S.: Please point out
"bull" that I talk about "his wife." Kris, do you even know what
it means to say
bullshit? I already told you that I do not lie, and we made
rules to enforce. Kris, the Oswego Speedway doesn't let you
there because you owe them money and fought there. And The
Woodworth's don't allow you at their trailer park because,
according to them, you broke a contract with them. Blaming
everything on Ken's sister doesn't alleviate you from your
responsibilities. You and Ken brought Ken's sister here, so if
she stole it, as you say, then you and he are responsible for
this. We trusted you to collect the 50/50 money, rental money,
and also NOT to fight with people nor falsely accuse people of
intentional wrecking (when they clearly didn't). And how have
you responded? By calling it "bullshit!" Please
know the meaning of the word bullshit before you use it, ok?
When that money isn't in Matt's hands, what does that mean? It
means that Matt has no money to maintain and fix nine go-karts
with nor fill them with gas and oil. It also means that we can't
hand pay-outs at the end of the year for the top points
visitors, which we get scolded for. Kris, why does this happen?
I haven't came up short once with the rental money since I've
collected it... and if someone didn't pay, I wrote down how much
they owed and they have to pay it back - to which most have or
will do (or else they can't race). Why did you come up short?
You betrayed our trust, Kris. You fought with people. You made
your own bed.
KRIS: robbie is also.
CHRIS: Robbie already told
us before, and on more than one occasion, that he can race
without you and you do not speak for him. We have no problem
with Rob, and always treat him very well, Kris. The only thing
that you would be doing is taking the motor and wheels away from
the #5, and punishing your own son for wanting to race. That
would be unfair to him. He hasn't broke any rules, Kris. Nor has
Ken, who loves the races and helps out a great deal. You have.
Stop
manipulating this into something against anybody else but
you.
KRIS: i usally don't say anything
but this time i did speak up. we have brought you drivers and
you still write things on the computer. you say that your our
friend then why would you write things about your freinds on the
computer instead of talking about it in person. cause this is
something that i would really like to know and so doesn't my
family.
CHRIS: OK, let's get a few
things straight;
1. I've told you not to fight any more. More than once. You
fought. More than once.
2. We told you that you are responsible for the missing money.
You still didn't re-pay it and then more wound up
missing. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice? Three? Four
times?
3. You accused me of bullshit and having conflict of
interest/house rules to my face, yet never once pointed out
anywhere where I broke my own rules, cheated, fought, or stole.
Instead, every time I reviewed the tape because you accused one
person of intentionally wrecking another person, never once was
it true. Either you saw it incorrectly and made an honest
mistake or you lied for personal gain. Either way, it is unfair
to everybody to do that!
4. Many people have told us the terrible things that you said
about us behind our backs and that you told people not to race
here, and more than one person told us that you printed
up the pages of the website out of context to distribute them to
everybody and told people not to come here.
KRIS: this is not towards matt.
matt you and kenny will contine to be freinds in spite of what
your brother writes.
CHRIS: Matt agrees with the decision
because you left him with no other choice, Kris! You have
betrayed his trust on several occasions. Kris, we don't hate
you and we don't want to ban you; you broke the rules so many
times that we have no other options! We feel bad about it. We
feel sorry about it. But rules are rules. Fighting is not
allowed on our property. And it is not the 1st time that you
have fought on this property. Last year, we go a visit from the
police because of a domestic dispute brought here. Now, that's
the bullshit, Chris.
KRIS: ...also you will never see me around the gallettas ever
again.
CHRIS: You've said that before, just like
you promised that you would never fight again and pay back the
missing money.
KRIS: yeah by the way what goes around comes around.
CHRIS: What, is that a threat, Kris? We've
already been told that you badmouth us to our backs, which I
wasn't sure whether to believe or not. Is this proof? Please
clarify. Also, my mom had a problem with this too...
MARY A. STEVENS: This is an indirect quote
of the Bible; "What a man sows, that shall he also reap." By
this sentence, you are condemning yourself because you are the
wrongdoer, and are not repentant for your actions. We have been
kind and hospitable to you and you lied to us, cheated us, and
now... threatened us. If anything happens, we will show this to
the proper authorities (sheriff). What did anybody ever do to
you? You came here, your son wanted to race, we let him, we gave
you food, let you do Halloween parties, and trusted you with
many things. We banned you; why? Because you've done nothing but
cause trouble since you've been here, and had the sheriff here
last year about that poor kid's (Tom Murray Jr.) kart. How can
you change if you never admit that you've done wrong? It's true
that you broke the rules and money come up missing under your
watch. In any other situation, you would likely be arrested for
doing the same anywhere else - you'd be responsible for that
missing money. And we've always had drivers come and go for over
15 years of my sons racing go-karts... we've never had fights
and the police up here until you were involved. I hope you are
smart enough to not try to pull something. I could go on and on,
but that's enough.
KRIS: just don't blame me if you don't have that many drivers
cause remember you kicked me out. thanks
kris pitsley
CHRIS: Kris, at least five
to seven people told me to my face that they will not come here
because of you. One said that we would have ten more drivers
here every week if you weren't there. I defended you and said
all the help you do, and especially all the help that Ken does.
But when you fight and don't re-pay money that you were
responsible for, and accuse people of things that are not simply
true, he there is nothing else I can do, ok? This
suspension is
indefinite, meaning that it may be repealed in the future
based on good behavior and some paybacks for that missing money
that you were responsible for. And it is just you. Not Ken or
Rob, neither of whom did anything to warrant suspension, so
don't try to manipulate this against us and make us out to be
the bad guys just because you broke the rules, Kris. It
is
dishonest. And if Ken and Rob stop coming, then we know that
you were again responsible for manipulating people, and prove
what everybody says about you. Please prove them wrong by
abiding by the rules, paying back what come up missing under
your watch, and stop badmouthing us. Otherwise, you prove them
right.

PS- Update: Kristina
Pitsley never apologized, never paid back missing funds, and
continued to badmouth us behind our backs (and I heard her
badmouthing Matt, so she can't lie to me, considering that Matt
had to pay for broken karts due to her "losing" rental donations
over the last few years, and people TELLING US about how she
would pocket and redistribute the money). She also stopped her
husband and son from racing here, and allegedly plotted out a
scheme to get us in trouble by getting her son's 17/18-year-old
friends to purposefully break karts, drive hazardously, wreck at
Galletta's and demand their money back
a
few weeks later. Kris Pitsley is banned from all three local
dirt go-kart tracks (Galletta's, Oswego, and Woodland) for a
reason... she is an untrustworthy, loudmouth, bickering,
backstabbing, thieving menace. It is too bad that we lost
friends and drivers (her husband and son - whom we liked racing
with - stopped coming, which,
IMO, implicates them via appearing to have guilt over their
alleged innocence over this whole debacle) over her, but we
gained more talented drivers and more trustworthy friends since
she was banned.
